GOOOOAAAAAALLLLLLL!!!!!!!
A curious and entertaining way to urinate.
You know the world is really into soccer (futbol, football) when you can satiate your desire for the game while satiating your desire to relieve yourself. Could I shoot it low and under the goalkeeper? Maybe high and to the right?
Perhaps we'll never find out. Kinda wished I drank more to keep playing...

London More
Hunting a bus at Victoria Station.
Rolling down Picadilly.
Some guys protesting BP Oil outside the National Portrait Gallery.
Ana, Adriana, Gabby & Julio at Trafalgar Square.
I am at Trafalgar Square.
We Think Like Tourists, Therefore, We ARE Tourists!
Gabby orders a cappuccino at Nero Coffee.
Never serve coffee to a collection of National and World Judges.
Getting married along the Thames.
Julio strikes a pose.
More PIMM'S...
Vamos Mexico!
Ana, Julio and Gabby in the hotel lobby.
Who says one needs time to recuperate from jetlag by sleeping in? As much as I would have preferred to spend a couple of hours sleeping, the girls were ready to go out and hit London. Downstairs we find Gabby, Julio and the Mexico v. Uruguay game on the television. Needless to say, Mexico is our favorite.
After a few minutes, the novelty of watching football in the hotel lobby is lost and we're off to search for a better venue with more people.
Near Victoria Station we find a pub where the two World Cup games are going on. At this pub, the France - South Africa game is favored on the big screen and we find two adjoining rooms with people watching our game of choice. Interestingly, in London pubs they offer semi-private rooms with televisions that you can reserve to watch a game in relative privacy. Except, that it, when our group starts to invade your domain.
After a few terse minutes, the first room is filled with a couple from Uruguay. They're not too pleased with our pro-Mexico stance. The next room, however, is filled with a Mexican family sporting matching jerseys and they're more than happy to accommodate our group. Too bad Mexico lost to Uruguay 0-1.
A Little Scottish Egg
One little bite.
As I wait in Heathrow for Ana to arrive via Madrid, I'm a little famished. Luckily, there's a Mark's & Spencer quick food joint next to the arrivals area. Lots of treats delight the senses and I'm particularly curious about the Honey Roast Wiltshire Ham flavored potato chips. I should have bought a bag.
Instead, I opted for refrigerated frozen goodness in the form of a Scottish Egg. Hard boiled egg, wrapped in seasoned ground pork, battered and deep fried, just the right thing to stave off the weariness of air travel.

Barred
Ever since I fell a category in status in February, after failing to make the additional 15,000 miles, I've been fending for myself like regular people. Where once an international itinerary meant automatic entry into the Red Carpet Club to pad myself from the horrors of flying coach, I'm back out in the cold looking in.
Without status, my upgrade request is flung down the ladder to 13th. There are only 4 open seats left in Business Class...
With no status and no Business Class seat, I could pay fifty bucks or 7,000 miles to use the lounge. Calculating a mile at $.03, that's equivalent to $210! Makes the fifty bucks seem downright reasonable.
Either way, it's still too much and I'm going to tough it out with the AirServices crew of Ethiopians, the Persian mother and child to my left and the large Indian family behind me for the next two hours until it's time to board.
Next stop: Heathrow.
