I know it's been awhile since I've posted to the blog but I've been away again (go figure). Seems that whenever I travel I end up falling behind and am left with a pile of posts to post, and then there's a blizzard of posts that fill in the time that I've been away. I'm finding that travel writing (writing while traveling, that is) is quite tough.
Never fear, I've got a whole slew of posts coming your way over the next week (or two). I've spent the last two weeks on the West Coast in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Las Vegas where I visited all sorts of friends, coffee friends, restaurants and just generally tried to get into trouble.
In Los Angeles, I made sure to hit coffee favorites like Urth, Intelligentsia, LA Mill and Luxe, while eating at La Casita, Babita and sampling baked goodness at places like Chantilly and Vanilla. In San Francisco, I availed myself of A16, Ritual, Four Barrel, Barefoot and more than too much drinking in the Napa Valley at both Raymond and Silver Oak. Then in Vegas it was dinner at CraftSteak, the De La Hoya Pacquiao Fight, tacos galore and discounted VIP service at Spearmint Rhino.
Two weeks was a long time to be away from the blog but I'll be back soon with complete updates on all the places.
