Hickory Dickory Capp
PolySciene Smoking Gun with Hickory dust.
The relatively simple idea hit me as I was sitting at the computer the other day looking at the Internets. Infuse milk with smoke and see what happens: The Hickory Dickory Capp.
But how to do it? Luckily, I've got a Smoking Gun from Polyscience in the lab. The procedure would be relatively simple: shove the tube into the milk and smoke. A few whirring moments later and the milk bottle was bubbling up with hickory smoke.
Devlin gives it a go.
We let the smoke infuse into the milk overnight and then set out to make a very simple and straight cappuccino. Half the group couldn't really pick out the smoke, the other half thought the smoke was a bit light and I thought it just tasted kinda nasty with notes of rubber, tar and general unpleasantness.
That's when another variation popped into mind: The Hickory Chicory Capp...
The Hickory Dickory Capp
More to come.
